Back to School Night
Just a reminder that Back to School Night is on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from
6 - 8 pm. Come and see how life is like at North Park Acamey of the Arts.
6th grade Field Trip to the Fowler Museum at UCLA
Students in my periods 3 & 4 class are going to go on a field trip to the Fowler Museum at UCLA on Thursday, 5/7. Only students who qualify will be allowed to attend. Students who have 2 "N's" and/or 1 "U" for citizenship will not be allowed to go on the field trip.
Students must bring a sack lunch with drink (no glass containers, please) and still follow the school's dress code.

No Homework during Spring Break - Keep READING!
There is no homework during Spring Break except to read. Students still have an AR goal that they must achieve by the end of 2nd semester and reading during the break will be a great time for your son/daughter to catch up or to try to get ahead.
Have your son/daughter read to you or you can alternate reading to each other. It is a great bonding time and the two of you can escape realities with a good book.
AR goal for Monday, April 13, 2015 is 64%.
No more late work during 4th quarter
To help the students get ready for 7th grade, I will not accept late work in the 4th quarter. This will help students stay focus on the assignments that they need to work on and complete in time for the next day.
If a student was absent for the day, then the work will be accepted the day the student returns back to school.
Students are still expected to write homework and objectives in their agenda. The agenda is a great tool to use to check on your child's daily assignments and to see if homework needs to be completed.
Please stay on top of your son/daughter's progress in school. The last quarter can really hurt or help their grade.
