Celebrating Our NPAA Educators: Years of Service & Lasting Impact

Educators at the Heart of NPAA

Staff reflections on years of service, meaningful roles, and the memories that matter most

Our NPAA community is built on the dedication, passion, and heart of our educators. Recently, we invited staff members to reflect on their years of service, the roles they've held, and the memories that stand out most during their time in the district. Their responses highlight the deep commitment and meaningful impact our team continues to make.

Tammy Esquivel-Torres

20 Years in the District  |  5 Years at NPAA  |  Special Education

Tammy Esquivel-Torres has dedicated 20 years to the district, including five years at NPAA. Throughout her career, she has served in multiple Special Education roles, including SH, RSP, and Workability, and has worked with students across all grade levels from elementary through high school.

One of her proudest accomplishments was helping establish the Adult Transition Program during a time of regional change. When reflecting on her time here, Tammy shared that working alongside such an incredible group of colleagues has meant the most to her.

Natalie Valdiviez

33 Years of Service  |  All at NPAA  |  AVID, Science, ELD & More

Natalie Valdiviez brings an impressive 33 years of service, all at NPAA. Over the years, she has taught AVID, Science, Language Intervention, Project Lead the Way, and ELD.

Her favorite memories include student trips to Catalina Island and Yosemite, as well as participation in Science and Math Olympics. However, the moments she treasures most are when former students return to share their accomplishments and life successes.

These reflections remind us that NPAA is more than a school — it is a community rooted in relationships, growth, and lasting influence. We are grateful for the years of service, leadership, and dedication our educators continue to give to our students and families.

Thank you for being the heart of NPAA.
