Social Studies (Period 6) Assignments

By now I am sure you have heard that school is closed until April 14. I have put assignments in classroom for Social Studies. I have also attached a copy of the assignments below. The same information is available for pick up in the office the week of March 16. Please let me know if you have any questions. You can message me in classroom or email me (you all have school gmail accounts...use them!) My email is [email protected]. You can also use the classroom chat/stream to talk to each other as long as you keep it appropriate.

If you haven't added the Google Classroom app to your phone or device, now is the time. Use your school gmail account to login and communicate with me, classmates, and access extra support.

One last thing, NPAA will have sack breakfast and lunch available for pickup. Please come grab one if you need them. I miss you all already. READ, READ, READ and stay healthy and safe.

Grades for the 7.1 an 7.2 quiz are in portal. Your quiz has been returned through Google Classroom. You may rebound on this assessment on Friday 2/7 after school in my room. Make sure you review the test, study INB pages 15-18 and 57-60, and use the quizlet so you a prepared to do better this time.

There is a quizlet review in Classroom

Finish work that was not completed in class--INB 17--definition, sentence, illustration in color. Definitions can be found on WB page 59. Textbook pages 228 -230 will help you with illustrations for some of the words. Due Thursday, 1/23. Directions and the words are posted in Classroom.

Body paragraph 2 due tomorrow. Sample graphic organizer is in classroom.

We have started the writing portion of our DBQ.

Your documents should be completed. I have posted a copy of our work in classroom. Each page will be a grade in the gradebook. Please make sure that yours is complete. I will collect them when you turn in your essay.

 

I posted a study guide in classroom. Your quiz is Wednesday.

WB pages 23-26 are due tomorrow. 

Check Google classroom for studyguides and quizlets. Quiz on Wednesday. INBs due Wednesday.

Use your notes from page 12 to complete the flip book on page 11. The outside flap should have the question. There should be at least 2 pictures/symbols for each theme and your notes should be specific to Mesopotamia. There should be color and the driving question should be written under the top flap.

If possible, please purchase a pack of post-its and 3 x 5 index cards-any color, lined or unlined. We will be using these in class to check for understanding and build academic vocabulary.

Schedule Starts rotation tomorrow. You begin with 5th period. A picture has been posted in Google Classroom if you need it.

Review and sign the papers we went over today. These are due Friday. I added digital copies of all the documents in Google Classroom. You can get to them through classroom or by following the link in Aeries (student portal).
