Math 7 (Period 3) Assignments

Materials Required in Class Everyday:

• Pencils & erasers
• Spiral/composition notebooks (about 200 sheets, total)
• Portfolio folder with prongs
• Red pens, highlighters & colored pencils
• Protractor or transparent ruler
• Graph paper
• Optional: Scientific calculator (TI-30X IIS)
• CPM textbook may be kept at home

Grading Policy:

40% – Tests   

30% – Quizzes                                  

15% – Classwork assignments

15% – Homework assignments

All students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA (from 6^th through 8^th grade) in order to be eligible to participate in all end of the year activities for both 7^th and 8^th grade, including the promotion ceremony.

Assignments (Classwork & Homework):

• All assignments are to be completed in a notebook, in pencil.
• Any assignment completed in pen may lose points.
• No late assignments will be accepted unless a student was absent (1-day absence = 1 day late). 
• It is the student's responsibility to request and submit missed assignments immediately, upon return.
• There will be no extra credit assignments. 
• Homework is assigned on Friday (unless noted otherwise) and due the following Friday.

• After School Math Clinic with Mrs. Ponciano/Mrs. Barrios:

Thursday from 2:45 to 3:45pm (will begin in November)

Quizzes & Tests:

• All students are allowed one retake of any quiz or chapter test.
• The retake grade will replace the original grade only if there's an improvement.
• Students may only retake quizzes and tests after school, on Tuesday, with Mrs. Ponciano.
• There will be a final exam at the end of each semester.
