AVID - 7TH GRADE (Period 3) Assignments

You have until April 26th to finalize any improvements to your college posters and/or college commercials.  Any changes made after that date will not be reflected on your grade.

 

Please be sure to complete any unfinished assignments listed in Google Classroom.

AVID College Projects due next week!!!!

 

Posters due Wednesday (final draft).

Letters due Monday, 8 am, through Google Classroom.

Commercials due Tuesday, 8 am, through Google Classroom. Be ready to edit your videos Tuesday and Wednesday.

Remember:

Accelerated Math test for Ms. Barrios - Wednesday (tomorrow)

Regular Math test for Ms. Barrios - Thursday

Mid-term exam for Mr. Pasinato - Friday

Tuesday and Thursdays (always) - Tutorials: come prepared with completed TRF

 

Friday - Binder check: 2 pages of Cornell notes, any classes, but from this week only

Binder Check tomorrow with 2 pages of Cornell notes.  Remember, binder checks are worth 100 points.  This is your biggest assignment every week.  Take care of business, people!  These are big points!

 

Remember to wear your AVID shirts tomorrow.

 

Please turn in your "College T-Shirt Person" tomorrow as well!

This entire week will be dedicated to studying and preparing for final exams.  No official tutorials, no binder checks.

Hello Parents and Students!  I've decided to try using the "REMIND" app, to better help my students and their families keep up with what's going on in class.  I am asking that all students and parents with access to a smart phone or to the Internet to sign up to my "REMIND" account.  If you'd like to use the app, it's FREE!

Finish writing your tutorial reflections.  Turn-in your TRF, 3-column notes, and reflection sheets at beginning of class.

This week, AVID students are learning how to conduct tutorials.  Every Tuesday and Thursday, students will be participating in specially organized study groups called tutorials.  Beginning next week, students will be responsible for coming to class prepared with a completed "Tutorial Request Form."  Students will be expected to complete these forms every Monday and Wednesday evenings in order to be prepared for their Tuesday/Thursday tutorials.

Finish your Tutorial Request Form (TRF) to the best of your ability.  Remember, you have a couple of examples in your interactive notebook (pages 5 & 9).

Finish decorating your interactive notebook if you do not finish in class.

Just the signed page of the syllabus is due Friday.  Keep the other pages for your own information.
