*Please Note: Students will be assigned Saturday school on their 7th tardy
Materials Required in Class Everyday:
- Pencils & erasers
- Spiral notebook: Three 70-page notebooks for the entire year
- Book: CPM Core Connections, Course 2
- Colored pencils
- Protractor or transparent ruler
- Graph paper
- Scientific calculator: TI-30X IIS (optional)
Grading Policy:1/3 – Classwork & Homework (33%)
1/3 – Quizzes (33%)
1/3 – Tests (34%)
All students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA from 6th through 8th grade in order to be eligible to participate in all end of the year activities for both 7th and 8th grade, including the promotion ceremony.
Classwork & Homework:
- All assignments are to be completed in a spiral notebook, in pencil.
- Any assignment completed in pen will lose points.
- No late assignments will be accepted unless a student was absent.
- There will be no make-up work or extra credit assignments.
- It is the student's responsibility to request and submit missed assignments immediately, upon return.

- Mrs. Ponciano: Most Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays from about 3:00 – 3:30pm. Please notify me ahead of time to ensure I'm in my classroom.
- EPA (aka Homework Club): Everyday, except Wednesday, from 3:00 – 4:30pm in the library.
Quizzes & Tests:
- All students are allowed one retake of a quiz or test.
- The retake grade will replace the original grade only if there's an improvement.
- Students can schedule a quiz/test retake after school on most Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays.
